Privacy Policy

Pure Player Hi-Res

Pure Player Hi-Res uses the privacy-policy version maintained on this official website and updates disclosures as features evolve. The app is built on a local-first model and emphasizes user control over personal data, music files, and listening habits.

Effective Date: February 19, 2026 (Google Drive and Baidu Netdisk user-data disclosure update)

1. Introduction

  • Privacy is taken seriously; the app is described as Offline-First, and personal data, music files, and listening habits remain under user control.
  • We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell personal data to developer-controlled servers.

2. Information We Collect

  • By default, we do not collect or transmit user data to developer-controlled servers.
  • Account Note: Local playback features work without account registration; cloud-drive features (Google Drive or Baidu Netdisk) require authorization with the corresponding cloud service account.
  • No Developer-Server Uploads: Music files, metadata, playlists, and operation records stay on your local device (or private iCloud container). If you choose to connect Google Drive or Baidu Netdisk, access occurs only within your granted authorization and is not uploaded to our external servers.
  • No Tracking: No third-party advertising SDKs or analytics tools are used.

3. Permissions Usage

  • Media Library & Apple Music: Used to read existing iTunes/Apple Music libraries for playback and organization.
  • File Access (Document Picker): Accesses files only when you explicitly import local folders, to scan audio, read metadata, and update tags.
  • Safety: Only folders specifically authorized by you are accessed.
  • Cloud Authorization: When you enable Google Drive or Baidu Netdisk, the app requests only the minimum required permissions via the provider authorization flow, and the authorization can be revoked by you at any time.

4. Third-Party Services

  • We do not integrate third-party ad networks or behavioral tracking plugins. If you actively enable Google Drive or Baidu Netdisk features, the app calls the corresponding cloud-drive open APIs only after your authorization and only for files you choose to access.

5. Cloud Drive User Data Policy (Google Drive / Baidu Netdisk)

  • To comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy and Baidu OAuth/Netdisk platform requirements, we explicitly disclose the following regarding our use of Google Drive and Baidu Netdisk data.
  • Data Accessed: Our application accesses your audio files stored in Google Drive or Baidu Netdisk (such as MP3, FLAC, and WAV) only when you explicitly initiate the “Scan Library” or “Play” action. For Google Drive we request the `drive.readonly` scope; for Baidu Netdisk we use only the netdisk read permissions you authorize.
  • Data Usage: The accessed data is used solely for building a local music library and playing audio content within the app on your device. The app processes file names, file sizes, and audio content to provide playback functionality.
  • Data Storage & Protection: This is a local-first application. Cloud-drive user data (including OAuth credentials and file metadata) is stored on your local device and protected using operating-system secure storage (e.g., iOS Keychain). We do not store this data on external servers.
  • Data Sharing: We do not transfer or share Google/Baidu cloud-drive user data with any third parties, advertising networks, or data brokers. Your data does not leave your device’s local environment (except interactions required by Google Drive or Baidu Netdisk APIs themselves).
  • Data Retention & Deletion: Relevant data is retained only while the app remains installed. You can delete all stored data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing app cache/data in device settings.
  • Authorization Control: You can revoke this app’s access in the authorization-management page of the corresponding cloud service account. After revocation, the app can no longer access that cloud-drive data until you authorize again.

6. Changes to This Policy

  • If policy changes are made (e.g., introducing online cover downloads), the page and effective date will be updated. Periodic review is encouraged.
